Andrew Cottone, PhD

Founder and CEO of AterniumTM

Andrew is an entrepreneur and process chemist encompassing more than 25 years as a business founder, executive and visionary leader of a complex chemistry manufacturing organization with a multi-site, 90,000 sq ft state-of-the art chemistry R&D and manufacturing facility.  He received his BA in Chemistry and Biochemistry from LaSalle University, a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Florida and held a post-doctoral position at the University of Delaware.

Andrew founded Aternium in 2023 with a very clear vision: to provide affordable and profitable clean hydrogen to transform the energy and industrial hydrogen markets.  Aternium has started laying the groundwork for our first 60MW electrolysis facility powered by 100% renewable energy.  Prior to founding Aternium, Andrew co-founded Adesis in 2005, which sold to Universal Display Corporation in 2016 (Nasdaq: OLED) where he continued to lead Adesis growth for the next decade.  Andrew’s unique combination of entrepreneurship, business and manufacturing experience positions Aternium for success.
