David D. Ellis

EXECUTIVE WITH GLOBAL LEADERSHIP IN UTILITIES, ENERGY, AND TECHNOLOGY

David has had a notable career focused on innovation and transformation within the energy sector. His leadership has contributed to advancements in energy management and technology.

David has over thirty years of experience in energy and related leadership roles. He joined Comverge after its 2007 acquisition of Enerwise Global Technologies, where he was a founder and part of the executive management team. As Chairman and Managing Director of Comverge International, he led its global market expansion and collaborated with governmental, regulatory, and utilities worldwide. He established four international subsidiary companies and three joint ventures on three continents, managing and serving on the boards of each.

In 2011, David led a major international utility transaction with Eskom, a key power supplier in South Africa and across the African continent. He is recognized as an industry expert in the US, African, and Asian markets.

Additionally, David served as President of Clean Power Markets, Inc., which developed SAAS software offerings and renewable portfolio standards in US compliance markets. David has a diverse background, having worked in regulatory/public policy, energy management, power engineering, software and hardware technology development related to the energy services industry. He has held roles such as SVP & Chief Customer Officer at investor-owned Entergy Corporation, President & CEO of Entergy New Orleans LLC, and President & CEO of Global Power Technologies. His expertise includes managing large teams, overseeing significant budgets, and executing strategic company turnarounds.

David holds an MBA from Eastern University and a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Penn State University. He is currently enrolled in the Wharton Global C-Suite Program.
