Larry Alston

Director for Business and Customer Support for PHI

Larry is responsible for the execution of the Solar Interconnection Programs by directing resources and activities within the Green Power Connect team and partnering with various organization across PHI. Larry is charged with leading the Interconnection process related to Distributed Energy Resource (DER) connection and system upgrades, creating new customer and stakeholder relationships, with primary focus on enhancing the customer experience. This includes managing relationships with solar developers and community solar subscribers and working with new business and billing to streamline the interconnection process.

Professional History

Larry started his 18-year career at PHI as a senior accountant in Revenue Accounting and Corporate Accounting before moving to Customer Operations. During Larry’s time in Customer Operations, he has held been responsible for various aspects of the Meter to Cash Workstream.  Providing leadership roles in Payment Processing, Credit & Collections, and Billing with an emphasis on Customer Experience, Reducing Bad Debt, and ensuring Billing Accuracy and Completeness.  In these roles Larry provided leadership to over 150 employees responsible for delivering operational excellence through streamlining processes and introducing innovative solutions aligned with industry best practices.
