Sonia Spruill is a seasoned senior leader with more than two decades of experience spanning corporate accounting, finance, and operations within the energy and utilities sector. She currently serves as a Senior Manager in the Distributed Energy Resources (DER) organization, where she leads high-performing teams focused on policy compliance, regulatory strategy, and customer engagement in support of the evolving energy landscape.

In her role, Sonia oversees initiatives that advance current and future DER programs, including net energy metering and community solar for both residential and commercial customers. Her leadership ensures that regulatory and billing policies align with customer needs, environmental priorities, and organizational objectives, while also strengthening stakeholder relationships throughout the interconnection process.
Sonia has been with the Exelon/PHI family of companies for nearly 22 years, during which she has held multiple leadership roles across accounting and finance functions. Her broad institutional knowledge, coupled with her strategic mindset, has enabled her to successfully guide teams through complex regulatory environments and operational change.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Delaware State University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Temple University. Sonia is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
